Water Street RFP ends; Ypsilanti ponders next step

Ypsilanti officials are continuing to consider options for redevelopment
of the Water Street site, a 38-acre parcel of city-owned land on the
edge of downtown.

The city concluded a request for proposals to market the brownfield site
earlier this month, drawing one firm, CB Richard Ellis.

Now officials plan to take two months to figure out a new strategy to
attract more marketing options and developers, although they plan to
consider the CBRE proposal. They will give an update to City Council on
March 19.
