Money lacking for cleanups at dirty sites Such aid would make previously occupied spaces in cities more enticing to developers. By JASON CLAYWORTH DES MOINES REGISTER (IA) March 18, 2008 Developers of Iowa sites blighted by hazardous chemicals and debris would be given millions of dollars in tax breaks for cleanup under a proposal some lawmakers say is critically needed. A major hitch in the plan, however, is that the state has no money available. That means that the incentives could languish for at least a year. Rep.
