The city of Evansville has filed a complaint in federal court asking a
judge to award damages for cleanup of a Downtown property believed to
contain contamination from an old dry cleaning business at the site.

Carolyn Rusk, Brownfield Coordinator for the Department of Metropolitan
Development, said the contamination poses no risk to the buildings
around the site, but it has made it difficult to find an occupant for
the property.
