New developer joins Israels on Grand Rapids' Seward corridor by Chris Knape Grand Rapids Press (MI) August 12, 2008 Another West Side development along the Seward corridor is in the works. And this time it's not led by designer/furniture guru Bob Israels.True North, an architecture, construction and development firm, is planning to buy and renovate a vacant building at 607 Dewey Ave. NW. The firm's $1.9 million plan includes adding a third story where True North would relocate its headquarters, currently in Belmont. That would bring the building to 20,100 square feet. All 12 True North employees would be along for the ride. The company plans to hire two or three more as business dictates. True North Chief Executive Dan Henrickson said building would be LEED certified with features such as a green roof, solar panels and a wind generator, helping show off some of the technology True North can integrate into client projects. ...
