Eastown project wins city brownfield nod by Chris Knape Grand Rapids Press (MI) November 03, 2008GRAND RAPIDS -- Plans to tear down the former Fifth Third Bank branch and redevelop it for retail and housing in Eastown won approval from the city's Brownfield Redevelopment Authority. ...The building is slated to include 16 to 18 apartments geared toward students and ground floor retail space.
