Sackets brownfield site cleanup can start By JOANNA RICHARDS WATERTOWN DAILY TIMES (NY) AUGUST 12, 2009SACKETS HARBOR - Cleanup can begin soon on the northern half of the former Augsbury Oil property, the brownfield site jointly owned by the village and the Sackets Harbor Local Development Corp. The village Board of Trustees approved a measure at its regular meeting Tuesday allowing the LDC to solicit bids on the project. Local Development Corp. President Donald DiMonda said a ballpark figure for the cleanup costs is about $80,000. The village will put up the money initially, with all costs ultimately being born by the LDC. ...
