Dangerous chemicals threaten Valley water supplies

AVONDALE, AZ - A dangerous chemical is making its way underground closer and closer to the water supplies of Litchfield Park and Avondale.

The chemicals were dumped at a manufacturing facility in Goodyear near Van Buren and Litchfield Road in the 1960s by a company called Unidynamics Phoenix Inc. The manufacturing facility at the site has since been demolished.

All that is left at the location is a barbed wire fence and a few posted signs warning people of the dangers of hazardous materials on the site.
