Barry:I certainly agree with you that all costs must be considered. I encourage solar and other renewables wherever it makes sense, and for sure the use of such systems is likely to make them more economical. But if we are looking at just GHG offset, the cost for removing each automobile (over one year) is $178,000. Plenty of people would park their cars for a year and walk or take public transportation in exchange for that money. I'd certainly do so.
