Delay Frenchtown Sale
By KECI Staff NBC Montana March 1, 2011MISSOULA, Mont. -- The Department of Environmental Quality wants Smurfit-Stone to delay its sale of the Frenchtown Mill, just west of Missoula, to make sure there is not any contaminated soil on the land. Smurfit closed the paper mill last year. Just days ago, the company announced it had a deal with a Northwest business that planned to turn the mill into scrap. ...
