Dayton brownfield transformed into prairie WDTN TV-2 News (Dayton, OH) June 26, 2011A worn down and ugly brownfield was transformed Saturday into a tallgrass prairie. Community volunteers and Central State University students planted more than 5,000 native wildflowers and grasses at the former Dayton Tire and Rubber site in Dayton. The planting was made possible by the TogetherGreen Innovation Grant. It is one of more than 43 events in dozens of cities across the nation over the next year. ...
