Loves Park Playground work officially starts after 3 years

LOVES PARK — It’s been a long time coming, and there have been  
several obstacles, but work has officially begun on the Loves Park  
Playground.

The project is one of 150 chosen for an international pilot project  
program to evaluate the nation’s first system for green landscape  
design, construction and maintenance.

Three years ago, Lindberg and Dan Jacobson, the city’s director of  
Public Works & Development, started brainstorming for a way to a  
improve the area that housed the old Hines Lumber Co. on Pearl Avenue.
