Bid Approved to Demolish Swanson Nunn Building

What's left of the old Swanson Dunn building near downtown Evansville  
will be gone by May 1.

All of the asbestos and hazardous waste that used to be inside the  
building was removed last year.

You may remember several years ago vapors coming from the property  
forced a nearby day care to close.

City leaders had to wait for the results of an environmental study  
before getting the green light to tear the whole thing down.
