Streamlined Procedures to Execute Environmental Easements

NYSDEC announces streamlined procedures for the execution of environmental easements that may be required for properties in NYSDEC's Brownfield, Superfund, and Environmental Restoration Programs. For most properties in these cleanup programs, the need for a title report and title insurance has been waived, and the requirements for site surveys have been simplified. These changes will help expedite the completion of cleanup projects, and reduce the cost to remedial parties.

The revised requirements are posted at the following pages on NYSDEC's website:

Title Requirements - http://www.dec.ny.gov/chemical/48231.html

Survey Requirements - http://www.dec.ny.gov/chemical/48242.html
