Vapor levels were low in Lakeside Middle School in Pompton Lakes BY LESLIE SCOTT Suburban Trends (NJ) March 10, 2014The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) plans to retest an area of Lakeside Middle School the week of March 9 for cancerous vapors. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Paul Amoroso said results from the test the EPA performed during the last Christmas holiday showed some traces of trichloroethylene (TCE) below the art room in the school. According to the EPA, the TCE traces detected were below the level of concern and the EPA linked the source of the TCE vapors to the chemicals used in the art room, not DuPont. ...
