Developer seeks to build 114 apartments, retail on riverside in  
Woodland Park

WOODLAND PARK - The Board of Adjustment will soon consider a use  
variance for a 5-acre property on Lackawanna Avenue that would permit  
a mixed use development in what is currently an industrial zone.

A developer is seeking to build apartments and retail stores on this  
5-acre property outlined in red beside the Peckman River in Woodland  
Park.

Anthony Fiorello, attorney for the applicant wrote in a letter of  
intent to the board of adjustment that the developer has already  
invested significantly in the property, spending more than $1 million  
to remediate the site of environmental concerns, and still has more  
work to do there.
