Cleanup completed at Haverstraw brownfield site Mid-Hudson News (NY) October 6, 2014ALBANY – Action has been completed to address contamination at the Haverstraw Harbors site on Dr. George W. Girling Drive in Haverstraw. The remediation was under the state’s Brownfield cleanup Program. The site was previously occupied by a major oil storage facility with 14 above ground storage tanks on the eastern portion, and a sewage treatment plant on the western portion of the property. The fuel tanks and associated features were removed by the spring 2003. ...
