Millrace housing development remediation project to go to bid By JOHN KLINE Goshen News (IN) July 14, 2015 GOSHEN - Another major hurdle for the much anticipated 15-lot co-housing development along Goshen’s millrace could soon be cleared following a meeting of the Goshen Redevelopment Commission Monday afternoon. During the meeting, the commission received an update regarding a planned environmental remediation project at the site - a former brownfield - that will require removal of approximately 2,000 cubic yards of contaminated soil from various locations throughout the site before construction on the planned housing development can begin. According to Becky Hershberger, brownfield coordinator for the city, the current goal is to issue bid specs for the remediation project on Friday.
