Brownfield bill a good place to start next time Editorial Connecticut Post July 16, 2015 One of the disappointments in the recently concluded sessions of the General Assembly, was the failure to gain traction by a bill that would have expanded a program of tax credits for developers willing to tackle brownfields in Connecticut. The bill — House Bill 7055, An Act Concerning Connecticut First — would have gone a long way toward encouraging developers to take on projects that would help revitalize some of the more blighted pockets of Connecticut’s cities. And, of course, brownfields are not solely the problem of cities.
