Brownfield designation considered for possible Holiday Inn Express site by Orrin Shawl October 6, 2016 GAYLORD - A future Gaylord hotel is seeking consideration as a brownfield project after a liquid used in dry cleaning fabrics was found in the soil during an environmental survey. During the Sept. 26 Gaylord City Council meeting, Lisa McComb, executive director of the Otsego County Economic Alliance, spoke on behalf of Brownfield Development Authority of Traverse City. The developer of a future Holiday Inn Express hotel requested the authority consider it for a brownfield project. The hotel will be located at 525 Dickerson Road, just south of Ruby Tuesday on the former site of Purchases Sales. ...
