3 vie to transform Chelmsford site By Alana Melanson Lowell Sun (MA) August 27, 2017 CHELMSFORD -- It took the town years to find groups interested in transforming the Katrina Road brownfield site, and now three are vying for the opportunity. Because the former industrial site requires a $1 million hazardous-waste cleanup, MassDevelopment will ultimately have the final say over which -- if any -- of these projects will move forward, according to Town Manager Paul Cohen. … The town acquired the slightly more than 3-acre parcel at 27 Katrina Road through tax title in 2006. It was formerly a manufacturing site for Silicon Transistor Corporation.
