This town just just got $1M toward turning a 19th century industrial site into homes and stores By Kurt Bresswein Lehigh Valley Live (PA) October 28, 2019 Crane Iron Works got its start along the Lehigh River in Catasauqua in 1839, with industrial activity continuing on the land through most of the 20th century until it was vacated nearly 20 years ago. For five years now, the borough has had a redevelopment plan for the brownfield site and even has a developer lined up who is interested in making it a reality.
