Tax capture to pay for site prep on The Docks residential development on Muskegon Lake By Ben Solis MLIve (MI) December 17, 2019 MUSKEGON, MI – At least $14 million of work to build a 240-home development near Muskegon Lake and Lake Michigan will be repaid to the developers using portions of their local taxes, according to an agreement with the city of Muskegon. The developers behind the estimated $100 million upscale residential development known as The Docks will have some expenses reimbursed because the site is contaminated with high concentrations of chromium and lower concentrations of other metals, according to city documents.
