President reportedly approves BRAC list

According to the Associated Press a senior administration offcial says 
President Bush has endorsed the Base Realignment and Closure Commission 
plan, closing bases and saving billions of dollars over the next two 
decades.

The Base Realignment and Closure Commission delivered its final report, 
outlining its recommendations for reshaping the Pentagon's 
infrastructure and force structure plan, to President George W. Bush 
late Sept. 8.

The report will be sent to Congress by Sept. 23.   Congress will have 45 
legislative days to accept or reject the list in its entirety. Congress 
is not authorized to make changes to the final report.
