Treasure Island chief may be fired Hall's bookkeeping, management of funds questioned Cecilia M. Vega San Francisco Chronicle October 8, 2005 Tony Hall, the embattled chief of Treasure Island who has been feuding publicly with Mayor Gavin Newsom and other city officials, could be fired from his post next week. The seven-member board of directors that oversees the Treasure Island Development Authority -- all mayoral appointees -- will consider Hall's "possible termination" at its meeting Wednesday, according to an agenda made public Friday. The move comes three weeks after city Controller Ed Harrington called into question Hall's bookkeeping practices and management of public funds on the island. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2005/10/08/BAGGRF49L01.DTL&hw=Treasure+Island&sn=001&sc=1000 -- Lenny Siegel Director, Center for Public Environmental Oversight c/o PSC, 278-A Hope St., Mountain View, CA 94041 Voice: 650/961-8918 or 650/969-1545 Fax: 650/961-8918 <lsiegel@cpeo.org> http://www.cpeo.org _______________________________________________ Installation_Reuse_Forum mailing list Installation_Reuse_Forum@list.cpeo.org http://www.cpeo.org/mailman/listinfo/installation_reuse_forum | |
