Progress slow on KAAP changeBy Jon Ruhlen Parsons Sun (KS) August 4, 2006 The process of transferring authority of the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant to local control is progressing slowly. Local Redevelopment Planning Authority Director Dan Goddard briefed members of the LRPA steering and executive committees on the transition process Thursday morning. Goddard said he has received no notices that other organizations are interested in using parts of KAAP for homeless housing. As part of the transition process, the LRPA must consider proposals for homeless assistance from providers in the area. ...
