Topsham LRA bides its timeDarcie Moore Brunswick Times Record (ME) August 21, 2006 Navy Annex reuse planning committee hears update on 'early transfer' rules TOPSHAM - Without much more to learn before the federal government releases its surplus property list for Brunswick Naval Air Station and the Navy Annex, Topsham's Local Redevelopment Authority can only get ready to move for when that list is released, possibly this month. The LRA meeting Wednesday was brief. One of the main topics centered on the environmental review of the property and information that came from the Association of Defense Communities Annual Conference, which was held in Indianapolis in late July. Rich Roedner, in his role as director of the LRA, told committee members that in addition to the number of workshops on various aspects of the redevelopment process, the conference provided him and Town Manager Gary Brown an opportunity to meet with representatives from the Office of Economic Adjustment and the Department of the Navy. ...
