Decision on Navy complex delayed New snag threatens to derail the project By Mike Freeman SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE (CA) October 4, 2006 A key decision on the controversial redevelopment plan for the Navy Broadway Complex on San Diego's waterfront will be delayed yet again – this time because of an ongoing review by the City Attorney's Office. The latest delay threatens to derail the massive bayfront project, which could fall under the federal Base Realignment and Closure Commission process for shutting down if pending deadlines aren't met. After a meeting last week, the board of the Centre City Development Corp. appeared ready to vote today on whether the proposed project met terms of a 1992 development agreement outlining what could be built on the prime bayfront site. ...
