Riverbank sees potential in ammo plant

RIVERBANK - Protected by fence, barbed wire and constant security, a 
173-acre property off Claus Road is a mystery to most people.

Riverbank Redevelopment Agency members ventured into the compound 
Saturday and saw lots of potential for an industrial site.

Agency members - the same people who make up the City Council - say they 
would be foolish not to show interest in the 64-year-old ammunition 
plant and Superfund site.
