Team Stratford opts for new development leader RICHARD WEIZEL Connecticut Post November 29, 2006 STRATFORD - Developer Aaron Hochman has been replaced as principal and managing director of Team Stratford after failing in his eight-year effort to revitalize the 79-acre former Army plant. After spending 6 years and nearly $3 million of his own money, Hochman - who will still be a minor partner in Team Stratford, the town's designated developer for the project - has been replaced by a hand-picked successor from Long Island. The Monti-Posillico Group, a partnership of two firms that have joined forces before on redevelopment projects, was selected from 27 firms considered, Hochman's lawyer, Charles Willinger, told the Town Council, convened as the Land Reuse Authority, on Monday night. The partnership group is working on a $100 million cleanup and revitalization of a former munitions and heavy industrial site in Glen Cove, Long Island, officials said. That project involves removing radioactive materials from the property and is similar to the type of multi-use redevelopment plan Stratford is considering at the closed engine plant. ...
