Army Reserve Center reuse and term limits on Portsmouth City Council agenda By MICHAEL GOOT Foster's Daily Democrat (NH) February 5, 2007PORTSMOUTH - Reuse of the Paul Doble Army Reserve Center and the issue of term limits for city boards will top the City Council's agenda tonight in separate work sessions. ...In 2005, the Base Closure and Realignment Commission recommended that the facility be closed and its operations relocated to a new Armed Forces Reserve Center constructed next to the Pease Air National Guard Base facility. The city let federal officials know of its interest in the property. Last August, city officials held an informational meeting so people interested using the facility could learn about the 3.4-acre property, which is assessed at about $1.6 million and includes a 11,500-square-foot office building and a 2,500-square-foot garage. ...
