Commissioners discuss rail concerns By Donna Stehling Sauk Prairie Eagle (WI) April 4, 2007BADGER ORDINANCE - Members of the Badger Oversight Management Commission agreed they should meet with the new manager of fertilizer co-op located on land immediately south of the munitions plant near County Highway Z. Commissioners want to hear about future co-op plans in that location.Members discussed the philosophy of the Badger Reuse Plan at the March 28 meeting. In March 2001, after a federally-funded facilitated process, the Badger Reuse Plan was approved by the Sauk County Board. The present rail line and proposed easement bisects the plant and there has been mention of storage of rail cars and fencing. The prospective landowners want to follow the reuse plan which states rail exists only as long as a use exists. ...
