Oakland County firm to develop Selfridge

Groundbreaking for new facilities planned for fall '08.

An Oakland County real estate firm was named Tuesday to develop 670 
acres of property on the grounds of Selfridge Air National Guard Base in 
Harrison Township, the U.S. Air Force said in a news release.

Communities by Beztak L.L.C. of Farmington Hills was chosen by the Air 
Force, the Air National Guard, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and 
Selfridge to work out a plan to develop, build and market new facilities 
on the base.

Plans call for development of an active adult military retirement 
community that will retain the existing 18-hole Selfridge golf course. 
Also included is construction of an office and research development 
building and light industrial facilities.
