Potential bidders pack Army plant event RICHARD WEIZEL Connecticut Post November 17, 2007 STRATFORD - The first step in renewed efforts to sell and redevelop the former Army engine plant took place Thursday in Hartford as more than 150 potential buyers from across the nation and Canada attended a conference for prospective bidders on the 79-acre Main Street property. Town, state and Army officials, as well as representatives from Cushman & Wakefield, an international commercial real estate firm managing the marketing effort, said the turnout was better than expected. ...
