"DEFENSE CLEANUP" REPORTS DRASTIC CUTS

 In its January 27, 1995 issue, DEFENSE 
CLEANUP reports rumors that the Defense 
Environmental Restoration Account for fiscal year 
1996 will be cut from the $2.3 billion requested by 
the armed services to a mere $1.2 billion to $1.3 
billion in the President's budget, due for submission 
to Congress on February 4.
