Subject: | DEFENSE MONEY BILLS |
The President has signed the Defense Appropriations Act, so the Defense Environmental Restoration Account - or at least the separate funds that formerly made up that account - is appropriated $1,411 Million in fiscal year 1996, already undwerway. Rumor has it, however, that passage of the Defense Authorization Act may not happen. If so, the drastic Senate language for limiting Defense State Memoranda of Agreement and assistance to Restoration Advisory Boards will not be enacted. However, the Appropriations bill does not, by itself, clarifly how much money will be spent on those programs. Lenny Siegel | |
