Announcing....

Alaska Community Action on Toxics New Web Site at http://www.akaction.net

** The site features over 90 geographic information system (GIS) computer
maps, providing a comprehensive look at contaminated sites in Alaska. Our
maps include: military sites, radioactive waste and chemical weapons sites,
Superfund sites, and sites with potential exposure to wildlife and humans.
ACAT's data base of over 2,000 toxic waste sites is the first program to
integrate data from state and federal agencies, including the Alaska
Department of Environmental Conservation, Department of Defense agencies,
and Environmental Protection Agency.

** ACAT's new web site also provides information on our investigative and
advocacy work, as well as newsletter articles, "Preventing Toxics in
Alaska: Organizing for Environmentally Healthy Communities Resource and
Action Guide," and action alerts.

Please visit Alaska Community Action on Toxics web site and let us know what
you think!
