Jeff, It's obvious you've spent allot of time giving this subject matter (lead agency for cleanup)allot of thought. Though I understand all agencies being under one government I must throw in an objection here and that has to do with equality/equity. The military has it's own laws, heck our President has his while civilians have their's, etc. It's hard for me, a stakeholder, to trust someone who is running under a totally different set of rules and regulations. In dealing with Camp Bonneville's cleanup, I am grateful for the many different 'players' at the table and still believe that 'whomever' leads cleanup needs to be somewhat of a diversified group. EPA has not always proven it's own trustworthiness. I'm sure in re-reading your posting I'll see much more to give thought too. Take Care, Stella | |
