Subject: | [CPEO-MEF] New Defense Environmental Budget Figures |
We've just received the details of the new Environmental Programs budget at the Department of Defense. The figures below represent the President's budget request for fiscal year (FY) 2003, as well as the most recent totals for the past two years. The numbers show a generally stable environmental budget. These numbers were entered in a monospace font. To read as a table, paste the data into a word processing program and convert your font to Courier or another monospace font. If you still have trouble, let us know, and we'll figure out another way to get you the data. The tables don't show it, but the Cleanup numbers for FY2003 include $88.5 million for the clean up of unexploded ordnance. The BRAC numbers include $13.4 million for ordnance response. And the proposed technology funding includes $28.4 million related to ordnance cleanup.
