2002 CPEO Military List Archive

Dear RAPIC Customer, It is with regret that I am announcing the closing of the Remedial Action Program Information Center (RAPIC). RAPIC is shutting down its operation effective September 30, 2002, after 23 years of support to DOE?s decommissioning, environmental restoration, and waste management programs. The June issues of the RAPIC Current Awareness Bulletins will be posted this Tuesday and Wednesday. The combined July-August issues of the bulletins will be posted in mid-August and will be the last issues published. The ERDIS database will be updated after the last issues of the bulletin are posted. No other records will be added to ERDIS after this update. The ERDIS database will remain available for searching at: http://128.219.128.87/default.asp Requests for literature searches will be accepted by RAPIC until September 13, 2002. Requests for copies of documents will be accepted by RAPIC until the document collection is packed for relocation. The packing will begin in mid-July. RAPIC?s paper copy document collection will be moved in late July or early August to the newly established U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Oak Ridge Operations Office (ORO) Information Center, which houses the DOE/ORO administrative record and reading room. Contact information for the DOE-IC is given below. I have enjoyed the challenge of developing technical information resources for your use and responding to your individual information needs. I am fortunate to have worked for so many years with the DOE Environmental Management Program and I appreciate the support the EM managers have given me so that I could serve you. I will miss the professional interactions with all of you. Good luck in all future endeavors. Who knows? our paths may cross again! Sincerely, Park T.
