[CPEO-MEF] question: what to do when AIr Force gives wrong date for hearing

Hi,

Recently Vandenberg AFB announced a hearing for Oct 16
that was really Oct 17. I believe that this was not
just an error but a deliberate effort to keep the
public away. The two Santa Barbara newspapers
announced reported the errant date, claiming that the
base gave them the wrong date. However, they eagerly
reported the following Friday that the public was not
interested in missile defense due to lack of
attendance (?!).
Our group had a press conference which drew only one
reporter. So far the statement for our spokesperson
has not made her newspaper.
Obviously this is a collusion between the air force
and media. WE would like to open the hearing again,
this time with at least three weeks notice to the
public (as opposed to 4 days), but need advice in how
to proceed.
