Subject: [CPEO-MEF] trivia for the day: window caulking may contain asbestos

Please post.

I learned something new yesterday and wanted to pass it along. One of
the principal health risks associated with open burning old buildings is
posed by asbestos. In addition to many other building materials
including exterior plaster, floor tile and mastic, roofing, ceiling
materials, and pipe insulation, you can add window caulking.
Contractors at Badger Army Ammunition Plant will be required to remove
window caulking in buildings targeted for burning because it contains
asbestos.
