Barbed wire. Pieces of a blown-up car. Rifle casings. A 155 mm artillery shell. A contractor for the U.S. Army has uncovered these items since early June, when workers began digging at Camp Bonneville. The Army stopped training at the 3,840-acre base north of Camas in 1995, but its plans to turn over the land to Clark County for a regional park have stalled because unexploded munitions and other pollution riddle the property.
