Environmentalists To File Lawsuit Over Former Nuclear Site Cleanup Current Cleanup Plan Would Cost $85 Million NBC-4 (Los Angeles) October 21, 2004 LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles and two environmental groups plan to sue the government Thursday, challenging the Energy Department's plans for cleaning up the site of a former nuclear testing laboratory between Simi Valley, Calif., and Chatsworth, Calif. The suit is scheduled to be filed in federal court in San Francisco by City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo, the Natural Resources Defense Council and the Committee to Bridge the Gap.
