Officials discuss concerns of Nike site By Franceen Shaughnessy Needham Times (MA) November 4, 2004 Town officials met last week to address several concerns written in a letter by neighbors of the Nike site by Ridge Hill. School Committee Chairman Gary Crossen said that a formal response to the letter will be available in the upcoming weeks, and until then, all questions will be deferred. The site is expected to be used to store excess fill from the high school renovation/addition project in order to save money for the town. At a School Committee meeting on Oct. 19, neighbors expressed a concern with the possibility of further contamination and questioned the thoroughness of the testing done at the site by the environmental study. ...
