A military standoff on New Post General, ex-officers argue impact on fort By GEORGE WHITEHURST Fredericksburg Free Lance-Star (VA) September 29, 2005 The skirmish over the proposed New Post community in Spotsylvania County is no longer just between the Army and the developer. Now it has evolved into a scrap between current and former military officers. A two-star general is echoing earlier concerns that the planned 1,500-home subdivision will hinder operations at Fort A.P. Hill.
