GenCorp settles pollution case for $25M by Adam Weintraub Sacramento Business Journal (CA) May 15, 2006 Rocket-maker Aerojet-General Corp. has agreed to settle for $25 million with a group of plaintiffs who alleged they were harmed by groundwater contaminated by rocket fuel near Aerojet's headquarters outside Rancho Cordova, the company said Monday. A jury last week had found against Aerojet in the case and set damages at more than $14 million. The settlement puts an end to the case before a second phase of the trial, which would have weighed whether to impose punitive damages on the aerospace and defense subsidiary of GenCorp Inc. The parties in the case are to submit the settlement agreement for review by Sacramento Superior Court Judge Patricia Esgro by June 30. ...
