Camp Adair Inspection Begins Camp Adair, located near Corvallis, was constructed in 1942 and served as a training facility for several army divisions. Salem News (OR) August 21, 2006 (CORVALLIS) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contractor Shaw Environmental will be conducting a site inspection of former Camp Adair and Adair Air Force Station beginning this week evaluating Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS) that had historically been used for military training. The former Camp Adair and Adair Air Force Station is located in parts of Polk, Benton and Linn counties, near Corvallis. The Corps will be conducting a Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP), Site Inspection (SI), according to Corps project manager Mike Nelson. ...
