Army Corps to present plan to clean up Fort Miles munitions Cape Gazette (DE) October 2, 2007The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, will present its proposed plan to clean up leftover munitions from the former Fort Miles Military Reservation at a public meeting from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the Biden Environmental Training Center at Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes. The Corps’ proposed plan, which has been created in cooperation with the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, divides the Fort Miles site into nine munitions response sites, with two types of responses. ..."Fort Miles is a wonderful place for visitors to interact with history, but nobody wants that kind of interaction," Faircloth said. ...
