LRA discusses jobs and base closure

The Ingleside Local Redevelopment Authority received a presentation 
concerning a job fair from two representatives from WorkSource of the 
Coastal Bend last Wednesday.

Daniel Korus, a representative of the U.S. Navy, said he and Larry 
Demieville, director of business development, are both representatives 
from WorkSource and recognized the opportunity to also work with the 
Ingleside Local Redevelopment Authority (ILRA) concerning job help, 
training and opportunities for those that will be affected by the base 
closure in September 2010. He also said they have come up with a plan on 
how they would work with the ILRA.

Korus and Demieville would like to extend the offer to the ILRA to 
participate in different activities on both sides of the bay.

The point is to bring together community leaders to help those seeking 
jobs that will be affected by the base closure.
