LOS ALAMOS - Los Alamos National Laboratory is notifying 1,890 current
and former employees and visitors they might have been exposed to
beryllium at a technical area.

The lab is offering a beryllium sensitivity test to those who might have
been exposed and will arrange a consultation with an industrial
hygienist for those concerned about exposure.

Beryllium is an extremely light, non-radioactive silver-gray metal used
in electronics, aerospace and weapons work as well as such goods as golf
